This product is a bacterial antibiotic. It is effective against gram-positive and gram-negative bacterial, as well as a number of pathogenic bacteria associated with marine and freshwater ornamental fish diseases.
Use one tablet or capsule per ten gallons of water. Dissolve directly into tank. This amount will dissolve rapidly and circulate through the water. Treatment in a hospital tank is recommended. Treat the tank every other day for a full 5 days (a minimum of 3 treatments is recommended). Repeat a full 5 day treatment after 3 days if necessary. To avoid stress to the fish due to oxygen depletion during treatment, use continuous filtration but remove carbon from the filter since it will remove, by absorption, the antibiotic from the water.
